Everyone pet owner knows that a dog is very much part of your family, so why on earth would you want to leave him behind when you head off for a stay in a large group holiday house? Well, you wouldn’t and you don’t need to, because most of the luxury houses in the Sleeps12 collection are dog friendly. You’ll find walks from the doorstep and in most cases, beaches nearby, so there’s plenty of opportunity for exercise!

So, forget the kennels and the dogsitter, pack the lead, your hound’s favourite toys, his bed and a towel because he’s coming too! All we ask is that you follow our Dog Rules throughout your stay.

How many dogs do your properties allow?

Most allow 2, some allow more at the owner’s discretion. Very few of the Sleeps12 holiday houses don’t allow dogs.

Is there a charge for taking dogs to your holiday house?

Yes, there is. Dogs are charged per pet, with charges shown on the Extras page for your property.

Where do dogs sleep in your holiday houses?

Dogs should sleep in their own bed, or in a crate downstairs. They are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, as per our Dog Rules.

Are the gardens secure to stop my dog escaping?

Hand on heart, we can’t say that any garden is 100% dog proof, although some owners have gone to great lengths to make them so and it’s pretty much impossible for your pet to get out. You’ll find this information on the Facts A-Z.

Is anything provided for my dog?

Some owners provide a bowl and poo bags, but it’s best to take everything with you. Don’t forget to bring a towel to wipe your furry friend off after he’s been for a muddy walk or a swim in the sea.

Can we leave the dog in the house if we go out?

Sorry, but no. Dogs must not be left unattended in the house at any time.
