How far from the beach will we be?

If not within walking distance, the beach will be just a very short drive away from your large group holiday house. Hares Barton and Hillview in East Devon are less than 3 miles from the beaches on the Jurassic Coast; at Smalls in South Devon you have only to stroll down through the garden to your own private beach area.

Which part of the UK coastline are your holiday houses near?

Are the beaches busy?

Are there sandy beaches?

Yes, lots of the beaches are sandy! Smalls, on the coast opposite Salcombe has a private area of sandy beach, the Somerset Coast has several sandy beaches, and those along the Jurassic Coast tend to be a mix of pebble/shingle and sand. The beaches on the Sussex coast are generally pebbly with flat areas of sand at low tide.

Are the beaches dog friendly?

The smaller, quieter beaches are usually dog friendly year round, while the main beaches have restrictions during the peak season. Most beaches are dog friendly during the cooler months and out-of-season beach holidays are much less costly – think bracing sea air, clifftop strolls, walks along the shore with your four legged friend. The beach is great any time of year!
