10/10 - We were all impressed with the range of things we could do on site and how much thought you put into the needs of your guests, for example, DVDs and games on site. Amazing BBQ and outdoor seating area as well as plastic plates and cutlery for the kids and grown ups for outside. We really enjoyed being able to see the animals with our young children on the farm and staff were really friendly even though they were working and tending to the animals. - Jennings
10/10 - It was great to be met by James who showed us round and we thoroughly enjoyed the home made lemon drizzle cake! Thank you! The farmhouse is so well equipped, spotlessly clean, with fantastic ensuite bedrooms. The pool, sauna and hot tub were used most days and sitting in the hot tub in the early evening March sunshine was bliss. The pool table was popular for evening entertainment. We enjoyed walking from the house into the village and up Cothelstone Hill. Short drive to Crowcombe and Quantocks for more fab walks.
One small suggestion would be shelving in the bathrooms for makeup/wash bags. Thanks for a fabulous stay with great weather too! - Martin

10/10 - We all enjoyed our stay at Pound Farm and would recommend. There was 17 of us and we had a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and there is everything you need for a family stay. We didn't have to go anywhere, we just enjoyed the amenities at the house after such a long time since we have all been together due to lock downs it was great just to catch up. Big thanks to Katie and James for allowing us to stay. The welcome cake was delicious. We all enjoyed the pool and hot-tub and made great use of the pool table. We are a very competitive family so great fun was had by all. The rear courtyard garden is lovely very safe for children and Percy the pug. Every afternoon at 15.00 the small brown farm dog would visit us by looking through the kitchen window. Percy had great fun chasing each other around the garden certainly wore him out each afternoon. The only slight problem was that the long table was always in the sun and maybe a few more parasols would help. But that was a very slight problem and was only due to the extremely sunny weather. The indoor pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub were fantastic and we were lucky with the weather and felt that we were abroad hopping from pool to hot tub. Katie and James were lovely welcoming hosts - we even had a homemade cake on our arrival. All beds have lovely crisp, clean white linen and the bathrooms are immaculate. Games room with table tennis table and pool table was a big hit for the kids whilst the adults relaxed around the open fire in the front room. Added bonus to be surrounded by horses abs there was something soothing to hear the horses as we relaxed in the garden. Can’t fault our stay and can’t wait to go back! - McKenna

10/10 - With regard to our recent stay at Pound Farm, I would like to say how very much we enjoyed our weekend there. We numbered 16 in all ranging from 7 years to 80 and everyone thought our stay was a great success. Pound Farm is extremely well equipped whilst also being very spacious and I think several of us could happily have stayed longer. 10/10 - We honestly had the best weekend we could have asked for! The house was perfect for us to celebrate our 30th's in! The kitchen is ideal for cooking for a large group of people. The swimming pool and hot tub were being used constantly and we loved how enclosed the garden was as it was secure for our little dog as well. We are going to recommend this house to lots of people and it wouldn't surprise us if we came back. The swimming pool was well used and the hot tub was a massive hit. The fresh flowers were a delight and the home made cake and biscuits were delicious. Such a lovely touch. The bathrobes and toiletries were an added bonus. Our first family get together since Lockdown and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. 10/10 - The farmhouse is wonderful. James and Katie have pulled out all the stops to make sure your every need is catered for. The little details such as bathrobes, flowers, homemade cake and biscuits, toiletries etc are really appreciated. The wow factor lies with the comfy beds, gorgeous rooms and fantastic leisure facilities. Whilst there we lost a watch down the side of the hot tub. One message to Katie and James was round with a screwdriver retrieving it for us! They must work really hard at turning the property round for the next guests! Great housekeeping team as the place was spotless on arrival Our only feedback as far as improving things (if being very picky) would be a slightly warmer pool and adding some Tupperware in the kitchen. Other than that couldn't fault the place. Warm and welcoming. As a family with toddlers and babies, this house was particularly good at ensuring their safety with staircases/fireguards/above reach locks etc and also had all faculties such as high chairs/cots etc to save us bringing our own. It’s hard to pinpoint anything in particular but the facilities of the property were fantastic and well looked after! Everything was spotlessly clean and the little extras such as cakes and toiletries in each en suite were just added luxury. The property honesty is beautiful! Loved the Christmas decorations. Owners and sleep12 were very easy to contact too which made booking and organising very easy. 10/10 - We had the most wonderful week at Pound Farm. Katie and James had thought of everything we might possibly need or want - fresh flowers, beautiful linen, towels and guest robes, plenty of provisions, games to play, logs to burn...I could go on and on!! The place was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. We celebrated our wedding there with our close family, and it was perfect for us all. Gayla came and catered for us in the evening. She cooked an excellent, restaurant style and quality meal. It was superb! She and the waitress were so quiet and tidy, with everything cleaned and put away. It was great. We used Pat, the local taxi driver to take us to the pub; and we used an excellent taxi firm in Taunton - A Cabs - to transport family members from the station and take us to the Registry Office. They were brilliant - punctual, helpful, friendly and reliable. We ordered flowers from Blooming Lovely in Wellington. My bouquet and table decorations were stunning, and just what I wanted. Really lovely! The pool, hot tub and games room were well used and really enjoyed by all. We really can't find any improvements - it was perfect for us. 10/10 - The house is beautiful and is incredibly well equipped both inside and out. The hot tub was an obvious highlight but we were lucky enough to have great weather during our stay so the outside space, BBQ and sun loungers were well used too. The kitchen is beautiful and the home baked cake and biscuits were a lovely touch. The only minor thing I could suggest to improve would be the inclusion of pasta bowls, as we struggled to fit some of our meals in the small cereal bowls. But that’s really all! It was an amazing place to spend a week! The Bishops Lydeard to Minehead steam train journey, there are lots of pretty villages to stop off at along the way and the train itself is a lovely experience with lots of beautiful countryside to see. 10/10 - Attention to detail in the house was amazing and the house was really well kitted out. Only issue we had was with the 2 double beds which are very small for a couple (we put the shortest and slimmest couples in there) but ended up moving a single mattress from the day beds in other rooms and a blanket in the lounge so that they could sleep properly. I appreciate the rooms are not big enough for the super kings that are in all the other rooms but maybe a queen would fit in those rooms. That's the only factor that might mean we don't re-book. - Vangucci

9/10 - The house was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped. We had a fabulous stay. The only reason I didn’t give it a 10 was the overemphasis on ‘do’s and dont's (mainly dont's). It would never occur to me to put blu-tack on somebody else’s wall or put tea bags down the loo. I almost expected to see a sign reminding me to flush the loo. The owners had made us a lovely home made cake and biscuits which was greatly appreciated on our arrival after our long journey. We highly recommend Pound Farm and hope to return again. We stayed in the property and made the most of the facilities which included indoor swimming pool, outside hot tub, sauna, pool table and table tennis and the all important wifi for the teens. We were lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful out of season sunshine so had a daytime BBQ. - Watt

I stayed in bedroom 1 and I couldn’t seem to find a door handle on the outside of the door so struggled to shut the door after checking on my children staying in the room with us. The house is wonderful and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were a family group aged 8-78 and everyone really enjoyed their time at Pound Farm and everything it had to offer. The pool and hot tub were both a great hit. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Pound Farm and really hope we get to enjoy another stay there. We can recommend Taunton for shops. We took a short drive and walked through some woods and when we reached the top (not too hard a walk) the views were amazing and you could see for miles. - Fisher

10/10 - Whole experience was fantastic. Our only improvement would be the ability to lock the pool area. Also re our experience with Sleeps12 (who we love and have used many times) the automated emails are horrendous, far too many of them and clearly a few glitches. For example, I received 16 this morning asking me to leave my feedback. I have never noticed this previously maybe you are using a new e marketing tool????

Only feedback for future guests would be to consider installing a retracting awning to enable people to enjoy the hot tub in both the sun and the rain and to consider a nice selection of plastic cups for outside use. 9/10 - Youngsters spent a lot of enjoyable time in the swimming pool. Walks into the village from the house via the fields with the dogs very good. Short drive to the Quantocks for longer walks. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and good sized dining room to seat everyone. We visited Dunster Castle. - East
9/10 - Very nice all facilities were here we catered for ourselves everything available thank you to owners Katie and James for their kindnesses and helpful manner would highly recommend. We visited the tea house in Bishops Lydeard. - Adams

9/10 - We really enjoyed our stay. James, the owner was there to welcome us and explain about all the facilities. The kids loved the pool and the accommodation was well set out so we had families in separate areas and my aunt in the downstairs room which all worked very well for us. Great to have a separate wine fridge and 2 dishwashers. Would thoroughly recommend it. - President
10/10 - The house was amazing we all enjoyed it from the 70-year-old to the 6-year-old there was plenty for them to do and we were all sad to go and love to go back again. - Evans
10/10 - Pound Farm provided an ideal safe environment for our party of 1-71-year-olds! The lounge is very comfortable and great size dining table. The swimming pool was just lovely and very popular. House exceptionally well equipped - no need to take the kitchen basics, all provided and replenished on request. Lots of outdoor seating. Well stocked Coop 20 minutes walk away. All round great experience and exactly what we wanted. Owners were close by and very helpful. - Skivivngton
