Welcome to Ade Shindy, just the ticket if you’re looking for outstanding luxury group accommodation in Devon that sleeps 26 with a pool. In the heart of the East Devon National Landscape, you’ll be blown away by the views and all there is for a happy large group stay.
When you’re looking for large group accommodation in Devon with a pool to sleep 26, Ade Shindy is hard to beat. 13 ensuite bedrooms sleep 26 over a main barn for 20 and a smaller one for 6, and if you want to bring a couple of extra guests, there's a cosy Annexe available (subject to availability) for 2 adults at an extra charge. So, that’s all bedrooms ensuite, plus exclusive use sessions of a heated pool, shared use of a games room and play field, and an enormous open plan living space where you can all gather to eat, to sing and to dance. If the sun is shining, there’s a whopper of a balcony and a terrace for soaking up the rays and enjoying long and leisurely barbecues.
The setting is heavenly, the peace and quiet immense and the accommodation is luxurious, spacious, and stylish. So, it might be a big holiday or celebration with friends and family, it might be a refined hen weekend, or a self-catering corporate break; whatever your reason for staying here you’ll be so happy and the memories you take home will be wonderful.
Ade Shindy is hidden away in the beautiful East Devon National Landscape on a 52 acre private estate. Think tranquillity, think skies full of birdsong and glorious, glorious views of open fields and gently rolling hills. You go down a long, long private drive to the heart of the estate where the barns are just strides apart in a pretty courtyard setting. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of everything – catering certainly won’t be a problem with the main barn having a well-equipped kitchen, lots of oven space and supersize pots and pans.
Grab your cozzies and head for the pool, lounge around, swim a few lengths, love those views. Saunter back to your bedroom, have a shower in your own ensuite, get changed and nip down to the games room to thrash out a few rounds of table tennis or table football. Play rounders in the field, show off your gymnastics with a few cartwheels and handstands, just lie there, flat on your backs, watching cotton wool clouds drift by.
Stride out into the wider estate, go see the 500 year old oak tree in the woodland, take your binoculars and spend time watching wildlife, roll up your trews and have a little paddle in the stream. Wander back through the fields all carefree and smiley, get your glad rags on for an evening together in the big open plan living space; sofas and chairs to relax on, two kitchens, a bar, and a long dining table for feasting. Dress it, theme it, hire private chefs to come and create a winner of a dinner for that special birthday or anniversary celebration.
Ade Shindy is for all ages, there are stairgates available, cots, toddler beds and highchairs; there’s even a ground floor bedroom that’s wheelchair friendly, with an ensuite wet room and direct access from outside. Oh yes, everything has been thought of here.
Probably, you’ll want to stay put. Who needs to go anywhere when you’ve got all this to keep you smiling? But if you do fancy venturing off the estate to see what’s about in the local area, you won’t be disappointed. Beaches? Less than 5 miles away on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site; nearest is Sidmouth, there’s also Exmouth (great for watersports), lovely little coastal villages like Beer and Branscombe, and just over the Dorset border, Lyme Regis where you can visit Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, go out to sea on a mackerel fishing trip or a rib ride, and go hunting for fossils.
Within easy reach are award-winning attractions for family days out; make friends with the animals at World of Country Life, see all the happy donks loving their days at The Donkey Sanctuary, have a go on the zip wire at Wildwood Devon, ride the Tidal wave Log Fume at Crealy Park. Fun, fun, fun.
Stop off for lunch or dinner at a cosy country pub or a fancy restaurant. There are plenty to choose from, including the Hare & Hounds just up the road, well known for its carvery, served every lunchtime and evening and all day on Sundays.
You’ll be lapping up the luxury, sharing special times, making long lasting memories – just what large group holidays are all about. Book today for an unforgettable stay!
