The House
First up is the main house; go into the conservatory dining room, picture the dining tables dressed for a celebration feast... Next is the kitchen, with a Travertine floor, on trend dark units, a range cooker and plenty of space for slicing and dicing.
Go through to the living room, where neutral tones and sumptuous chenille sofas give a restful ambience; put your feet up, watch a movie, have a good chinwag, love the luxury of being together. Off the other side of the kitchen a lobby leads to Bedrooms 1 and 2 and a shower room.
Pad upstairs to Bedrooms 3 and 4, one with an ensuite shower room, the other with a shower room right next to it. All bedrooms in the main house sleep 4 so are ideal for families or good friends sharing.
The self-contained studio is perfect for families or people who like to have their own space. Just across the drive, it has a bedroom that sleeps 6, a small kitchen area, and a shower room.
The large grounds have split level lawns, seating areas, and two hot tubs. Slip in for a soak, watch the clouds drift by, all fluffed up in a sky the colour of forget-me-nots. Thrash out a game of outdoor table tennis with the kids, get the barbecue fired up and the steaks a-sizzling.
Think of the good times, shared and savoured with your favourite folk; think of the memories.
Local Area
Lively Lodge is only 10-15 minutes from the beautiful city of Bath; go and see the sights - the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, The Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and its horseshoe weir, and whatever appeals of the many museums and galleries. Retail therapy comes in big doses and when you’re peckish, boy, do you have an incredible choice of places to eat! Apart from the countless bars, cafes and restaurants, this is the only city in the world where you can try a Sally Lunns bun, still made to a recipe that dates back 1680!
Spend a day discovering the sights and sounds in Bristol, just a little further. Hang out at the vibrant Harbourside, mooch about in elegant Clifton Village, race across the downs for tremendous views of the city and the world-famous suspension bridge. Take the kids to Bristol Aquarium, We the Curious or SS Great Britain. It’s all fab and fun!
Plan a pootle about the Cotswolds and come back with your head full of dreams, of living in the country in one of those postcard pretty villages with a cosy little pub and a tea shop and the river babbling along. Stroll in the spectacular Slad Valley, immortalized by Laurie Lee in ‘Cider With Rosie’, take a family trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, visit the very unique Sezincote Manor.
Discover it all, take photos, buy souvenirs, head back to Lively Lodge for an evening of joyful togetherness. Take the memories home and keep them forever.
