The Kings Arms, Melksham, Wiltshire
If you want pub food in Melksham, head for The Kings Arms; it’s the big pub, right in the middle of town, with the cobbled courtyard and benches outside. It’s what you’d call traditional, as are most 18th century coaching inns; there’s still that little bit of character, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the menu has all the favourites on it, made with seasonal ingredients sourced from Wiltshire and the surrounding counties.
Beer is good – The Kings Arms is a Butcombe brewery pub and it’s not a bad pint at all.
