South West Coast Path – Somerset, Devon and Dorset

This 630 mile trail starts from Minehead in Somerset and ends in Poole in Dorset, taking in the spectacular coasts along the way and the chance to see some amazing wildlife. You can easily walk part of it in a day or just spend a couple of hours ambling for a few miles. In our neck of the woods the cliff tops and beaches of the Jurassic Coast in East Devon and West Dorset are easily accessible, and though the terrain can be a bit tougher, the woodland wilderness of the Undercliff from Axmouth to Lyme Regis shouldn’t be missed; likewise the shorter stroll from Beer to Branscombe, and the red sandstone cliffs near Sidmouth. You’ll find plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat along the way, and you can take the dog. Put on your walking boots and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking scenery with family, friends or colleagues.
