Ongoing Works at the Hesdin Estate
The Hesdin Estate on the borders of Wiltshire and Somerset has a unique collection of amazing houses for large group holidays and celebrations. The estate offers very special group accommodation for all seasons, with each property having something for all ages – private pools, hot tubs, games rooms and movie rooms.
Guests have been enjoying breaks at Hesdin Hall, Pigertons and The Corn Crib since 2020 and the transformation continues with ongoing works to more of the former farm buildings – the result will be an incredible ‘vacation village’ offering luxury holidays to large groups.
Prices are currently discounted to reflect the ongoing renovations. It is likely that you will hear/see evidence of this, but we hope that the works won't affect the overall quality of your stay at these properties. Noise will be kept to a minimum, with works carried out during the week, finishing at 5pm Mon-Thurs and 4pm on Fridays. There will be no works at weekends unless absolutely necessary.
Please see below for what you can expect to see of the ongoing work from each property, and for an explanatory map.
The property next to Hesdin Hall, in the former farmyard, is currently under renovation. This is due for completion by Easter 2023 and will be called Hayho House (details coming soon!). Only the small window in the kitchen faces onto the yard so you will be able to see the fencing and building works. Guests are asked to use the front door to Hesdin Hall whilst works continue.
The property currently under renovation (Hayho House) is situated behind Pigertons. The games room faces the yard but the works are hidden behind a temporary wooden fence – this does not obstruct light levels at Pigertons.
Hayho House is currently undergoing renovation in the yard behind The Corn Crib. This will be visible from Bedrooms 6 and 7. The views from The Corn Crib, over the fields and the runway at the Hesdin Estate, are wonderful and so the owners have retained the low level fence. There is a modern barn just beyond the swimming pool but this will be removed in the near future.
Whilst it is important that you are aware of these ongoing works, please bear in mind that the properties on the estate are self-contained. The chances are that you will be enjoying your holiday so much you will barely notice the builders at work.
