Frome Independent, Frome, Somerset
On the first Sunday of every month from March to December, the streets of Frome come alive with the hustle and bustle of the Frome Independent market. The air is alive with happy chatter and live music as the merry throng ambles around the stalls where local traders sell their wares. There are food and drink producers, arts and crafts, collectibles and stacks of vintage – just about everything you can think of from hand knitted socks, retro toys and hand crafted leather bags to artisan cider, freshly baked bread and jewellery.
And food! Oh wow, there’s a fantastic choice of street eats, so go with an empty belly! The only trouble is deciding what to have – Cantonese dumplings and bao, posh cheese toasties, gourmet burgers, Middle Eastern baklava, Tibetan style plant based food, traditional wood fired pizzas, Greek wraps…see what we mean?
Just go; go and be a part of it all, soak up the upbeat vibe, fill your bags and baskets. The Frome Independent just has to be done if you’re staying nearby on your group holidays in Somerset or Wiltshire.
