If all you want is the perfect place to stay for a quiet family holiday, you’re going to love Dallybank. Tucked away in the beautiful Somerset countryside, it’s a world away from the push and shove of city life; the River Tone drifts lazily along at the back of the house, the views roll on and on for miles across a landscape that’s teeming with wildlife. Dappled sunlight dances in the front garden, and all is well; slip into the hot tub, dream a little dream, smile your biggest smile at the little ones having a tremendous time of it on the swings, clambering on the wooden pirate boat, dashing in and out of the living willow hut.
Inside the house, the feels are homely and gentle; you’ll be putting your feet up in no time, snuggling up on the sofas for family movie nights, snoozing the night away in restful bedrooms. Even if the weather turns against you, don’t worry – just retreat to the games room where you can play pool, table tennis or table football. Pootle down to Langport and wander beside the River Parrett, go kayaking, climb on board the Duchess of Cocklemoor and look out for swans gliding as you drift along the water; hire bikes at the wharf and make your own adventure, exploring the Somerset Levels.
