Finding luxury group accommodation for 32 with a pool and games room isn’t easy, until now. Allow us to introduce Brix Barn, set on a private estate deep in the East Devon National Landscape. Peace and quiet. Fresh air. Nature on the doorstep. Views that knock your socks off.
If you’ve got a supersize holiday or celebration weekend in the planning, you need to know about Brix Barn. This is such a special place to stay, bringing you luxury group accommodation for 32 with a pool and games room, set over 3 lovingly converted barns close together in an attractive courtyard setting. There’s room to play together, to dine together, to sing and dance together, and the cosiest little annexe offers snooze space for 2 extra adults at an additional charge, pushing your party size up to 34. That’s big, that’s fun, that’s something to remember.
Deep in the East Devon National Landscape, to stay at Brix Barn is an amazing experience; think a big fat slice of country life with all the added luxuries. All bedrooms are ensuite, there’s a humongous open plan living space where you can gather together and let the good times roll, the heated pool is all yours for 7 hours every day; idle on the terrace and lap up the far-reaching vistas. There’s a games room where you can battle it out with ping-pong and table football, and a play field that sets the scene for rounders and kickabouts with the kids. Play kiss chase, spin cartwheels, do leapfrog. Fill the air with mirth and merriment, laughter in the open air.
Brix Barn has everything you need and more for your large group stay. Each barn has its own private garden with a barbecue and outdoor furniture; the main barn, which sleeps 20 in 10 ensuite bedrooms (the other two both sleep 6 in 3 ensuite bedrooms) has an enormous balcony AND a terrace with the most incredible views over the valley. Nothing has been forgotten; there are travel cots, toddler beds, an access-friendly bedroom with an ensuite wet room, there are cafetieres, hairdryers in all bedrooms, EV charging and undercover parking, even your own bar.
Interiors are fun and funky, bright and colourful, and so comfortable. Sofas to sink into, beds to dream the night away in, bathrooms and shower rooms where you’ll want to linger. Kitchens are stylish and well-equipped, an extra ‘back kitchen’ in the main barn means extra oven and fridge/freezer space and a commercial glass dishwasher. There are plenty of big pots and pans, which is what you need when there’s such a big group to feed. You might want to hire private chefs to razzle up a corker of a feast if you’re here to celebrate something big, like a significant birthday or a remarkable anniversary.
The Devon hills roll softly all around, unspoilt views that seem to stretch out to forever. Go and explore, the private estate is free to wander, just outside the door. See who’s mooching about on the pond, roll up your trouser legs for a paddle in the stream, amble nonchalantly through the fields, like a 1970s Cadbury’s Flake ad. Be still and quiet as can be in the woodlands, and you might spot some of the resident wildlife, walk up to the 500 year old oak, one of the Great Trees of East Devon.
Think you’ll want to venture out for days by the sea? The Jurassic Coast is less than 5 miles away, so why not? Play on the beach at Sidmouth, mosey down the hill at Branscombe past the centuries-old cottages where roses scramble happily up the walls, stop for fish and chips at The Sea Shanty Beach Café. Plan day trips with the young ‘uns, down to Crealy Theme Park where the 60+ rides will have them shrieking with delight; take them to Wildwood Devon to see the animals and ride the zip wire, pootle through the gardens on the miniature steam train at Pecorama up on the hill in Beer.
This is a place for all kinds of large group stays, for big happy dog dog-friendly holidays with friends and family, for refined hen weekends, and corporate team building or hospitality breaks. Brix Barn is for special times with special people. Make it happen, book your stay today!
