What time can I arrive at the property?
The check in time for Riverside is 4pm. Regrettably, you can't arrive any earlier than this as we'll still be busy preparing for your stay. If you think you might be earlier why not stop off at one of the recommended pubs (see below) or visit one of the towns nearby - perhaps Taunton, Glastonbury, Somerton or Langport?

How do I find the property?
You'll find detailed directions in the My Booking section of our website, which you'll be able to access from the homepage. We recommend using these instructions rather than Sat Nav, otherwise you might miss the turning for the property.
Does this property require a cautionary deposit?
This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival; they will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.
Does this property allow two night stays?
It does! These start at 4pm on Friday with departure by 4pm on Sunday. It's very important that you leave by then otherwise you risk being charged for extra time in the property and having some, if not all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned.
We are thinking of inviting people over for the day; is this allowed at this property?
As per our Terms & Conditions, we don't allow this at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is due to insurance and health & safety legislation; we can't allow guests to exceed the maximum occupancy for each property. It's important that all guests' full names and ages are included on your booking, so if you have invited people to visit during the day please call our office so that we can obtain the necessary permissions from the owners of the property.
Can I have a food delivery to the property?
You can arrange to have groceries delivered to the property on your arrival and during your stay, provided that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK.
What can we find supplied for us in the property?
The owner provides the following items for you: a welcome hamper, enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party, at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar. washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, dish cloth and scourer sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, bin bags, 2-in-1 washing machine tablets, hand soap, shower/bath gel, shampoo and moisturiser, hair dryers in all bedrooms, all bed linen plus one bath towel and one hand towel per person. NB: Please bring your own towels for use in the hot tub; we also recommend suitable footwear, such as flip-flops, for going to and from the hot tub.
There is also a welcome folder with lots of useful information to help you enjoy your stay.
How should we leave the property when we depart?
Departure time is important for us; this is always 10am with the exception of 2 night breaks when it's 4pm on Sunday. We'd expect you to leave the property more or less in the clean and tidy state you found it in, so please make sure that:
- All rubbish is bagged up and left outside the front of the property.
- All washing up from your stay has been done and put away. It's okay for the dishwasher to be loaded and turned on before you leave.
- The kitchen table and surfaces are wiped down.
- Any spillages made during your stay have been cleaned up.
- All furniture is in its original position.
- You dont need to worry about stripping the beds,and towels can be left in the bathrooms.Remember to check all rooms to make sure nothing is left behind.
- If there is any damage please let us know asap - people are generally more understanding that way.
- Please let us know if there's anything missing or not working - as we don't stay at the property we need to know these things and guests are incredibly helpful in this respect.
Is there a BBQ at the property?
There's a charcoal BBQ at Riverside and the owners provide one bag of charcoal.
Is there a music system at Riverside?
There is a Bluetooth music system at Riverside.
Is there SKY at the property?
Riverside has Sky Movies and Sports in the living room and there is also Sky TV in the games room. All other TV's have Freeview.
Is there WiFi at the property?
There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that Riverside is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed.
Are there any stairgates at this property?
Riverside is an old property with different sized door frames - that is part of its charm! One stairgate is provided for the top floor (Bedroom 6) and there is another stairgate at the property but note that it doesn't fit ALL doors and stairs. Remember to request stairgates when you complete your bedroom configurations.
Are dogs allowed at this property?
Two well behaved dogs are allowed at Riverside and these are charged at an additional £50 each. Please make sure that you have read and understood the dog rules for Riverside before adding dogs to your booking.
I would like to have a toddler bed or cot at the property;do I need to bring my own?
Riverside has one cot (with a bottom sheet) that you can request when you complete your bedroom configurations. If you have more than one child needing a cot in your group please contact the office. Remember that all infants must be named on the guest list for your booking.
Are hen and stag parties allowed here?
Hen and stag groups are not allowed at Riverside. The property is in a very peaceful hamlet and has neighbours close by so it would not be appropriate. If you are a single sex group that is not a hen or stag party we still need to know so please call us on 01823 665500.
How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?
We are so pleased that you are thinking of using one of our recommended suppliers/services! You will need to contact them direct to make your arrangements, but once you've booked please let us know by email or phone. We'll need to know who you've booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be so that we can ensure there is adequate insurance cover.
