Riverside was once two Victorian worker’s cottages, now lovingly converted into one big holiday house that sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms. This is a very special place to stay for large family holidays in the West Country, when all you want to do is get away from it all and spend time with the people you love most in the world, enjoying the peace and quiet and the breathtaking surroundings.
The setting is idyllic, tucked back from the lane in a peaceful hamlet on the edge of the Somerset Levels; the River Tone drifts lazily along at the back of the house, the unspoilt views stretch for miles across a landscape abundant in wildlife and birdlife. Inside, the house exudes relaxed country charm and the feels are so homely; if it had arms they would be wrapped softly around you, welcoming you in.
Riverside is so perfect for families because there’s something for all ages; a covered hot tub, a games room with table tennis, pool and table football, and for the little ones, an indoor playroom and a play area in the secure garden. Nearby there are family attractions, historic houses and gardens, quiet market towns to browse, welcoming country pubs, and within an hour, the beaches of the Jurassic Coast. The A358, A303 and M5 are all within easy reach, fast trains from London Paddington to Taunton (10 miles) take less than 2 hours.

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When we turned up we just knew this was a place we were going to have a wonderful week and a holiday to remember with all of us (nine adults, and three children). We used the hot tub every day, enjoyed games at the big dining table, loved all the walks in the countryside, trips to Taunton, Glastonbury, local antiques and willow centre. We had a Chinese meal, pub night and enjoyed dining all together. The house is just out of this world. You have thought of absolutely everything and more! The kids loved the playroom, we had a film night, games in the garden, hide and seek. We will be sure to return again. 5 *****"
