Hunky-Dory in Wiltshire offers super stylish large group accommodation with stacks of original features and every convenience you need for your large group stay. 8 ensuite bedrooms sleep 18, with room for up to 6 optional extra guest beds at an additional charge each; there are 2 games rooms and a gaming zone/movie room, and outside a big walled garden with a private pool that's heated for year round use, a hot tub and a sauna.

Hunky-Dory is a stone’s throw from the village of Chapmanslade and the market towns of Warminster, Westbury and Frome are all close by. Longleat Safari Park is less than three miles away and makes for a wonderful day out; go for a drive through the enclosures, have a look round the house and gardens, or take the kids to one of the many attractions in the main square. Bath is only a very short drive away; see the Roman Baths and the magnificent abbey, go to Prior Park and follow the Bath Skyline Walk, while away a couple of hours at the American Museum or the Fashion Museum.

If you like things a little different, more on the cool and quirky side, you'll like Frome, especially when the Frome Independent is on and the town centre comes alive with a merry throng browsing the stalls; there’s street food, live entertainment, and all manner of vintage and artisan wares. Check out Glastonbury too, which has a New Age vibe throughout the town; wander up to the Tor for panoramic views of Somerset. Pootle up to Bradford-on-Avon, wander down to the canal basin and have a ride on a narrowboat along the Kennet & Avonhire canoes and take to the water, or rent bikes and cycle along the towpath to Avoncliff Aquaduct. Take a picnic and spread your tartan rug on the grass by the medieval Tithe Barn, or go to one of the many excellent places to eat in the town.

If you like historic grandeur, pop down to Stourhead House; if you go in the autumn the gardens are a feast for the eyes with all those gorgeous colours reflected in the lakes. If art is your thing, head to Bruton and have a mooch round the gallery at Hauser & Wirth. See the world famous Stonehenge, and the stone circles at Avebury; take a family trip to Lacock Abbey where Harry Potter was filmed.

But you know, we totally get it if you don't feel the need to go anywhere because at Hunky-Dory you've got more than enough to keep you happy. Spend lazy days lounging by the pool, enjoy alfresco lunches beneath the sun, and when evening comes catch the glorious sunsets from the terrace; sit back in the hot tub, look up at a sky full of stars. This is a great place to stay for family holidays and for when you want to celebrate that special birthday or anniversary with your nearest and dearest.
