The Queen Victoria, Priddy, Somerset

This is a great country pub in Somerset’s Mendip Hills, with a warm welcome for everyone – children dogs and muddy boots included. It’s all natural stone outside, and inside just brimming with rustic charm – original flagstones on the floor, big fireplaces and old ceiling beams. With woodburners and an open fire in the winter, and an attractive beer garden to sit in when it’s warmer, you’ll feel relaxed here any time of year; and actually, so will the kids because there's a big play fort where they cna let their imaginations run riot.
There’s a tempting choice of ales and ciders, and the food is good quality, home cooked fare made using fresh, locally sourced produce. How tempting is Beef, Butcombe and Mushroom Pie, Homemade Fish Pie, Handmande faggots, and Wexford Cheddar and Cherry Tomato Tart?
