Smoke and Ice, Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire

Smoke and Ice is set in a beautifully renovated Methodist church in the village of Edwinstowe on the edge of Sherwood Forest. Run by a friendly family and team they serve delicious Smokey Eats and Cool Treats; people are raving about this place since it opened in 2020, so if that sounds like your kind of food, you really ought to go there. The ambience is relaxed and you’re made to feel very welcome whether you rock up for lunch, dinner or drinks.

The in-house smoker, called Steady Eddy, is kept busy and ensures there’s plenty to tempt you on the menu, including Punchy pulled pork, Risky brisket roll, Tricky Char Sui pork belly bao buns and The Buddharito – their own twist on the burrito; a hot favourite is the S&I Fried chicken sandwich, along with scrumptious roasties. Follow with locally sourced ice creams in fabulous flavours, lovely thick shakes, or Momma C’s lip smackingly good desserts - Ultimate chocolate brownies, Lucious lemon meringue pie, Perilous profiter rolls, to name just a few.

Eat in the restaurant and kick off with cocktails, order and collect or opt for delivery service using Noblypos or Just Eat.

Open: Weds & Thurs 4.00pm-8.00pm, Fri & Sat 12.00-9.00pm, Sunday 12.00-5.00pm
