Heddington, Calne, Wiltshire
Heddington is another of those peaceful Wiltshire villages where life trips along nicely; there are the usual attractive cottages, big old houses and rambling farmsteads, and a very nice church, all with the backdrop of the undisputably beautiful scenery of the Pewsey Vale – great for walking, horse riding and cycling. Every year they have a steam fair here, which draws the crowds and has all the ambience you'd expect from a country fair - everyone milling around chatting and enjoying themselves.
