This unspoilt village lies on the south bank of the River Dart, and with its backdrop of steeply wooded hills is an idyllic spot for some serious riverside relaxation; it’s great for a day trip – you can amble around the village, go crabbing, or hire a motorboat to explore the creeks, and when you’re done head to the waterside Ferry Boat Inn or the Anchorstone Café for a bite to eat.
