Clavelshay Barn, North Petherton, Somerset
Right at the edge of Somerset's beautiful Quantock Hills, this award winning restaurant is set in an 18th century stone barn on a family run working farm at North Petherton. There's a big emphasis on local food; they use their own pork and veal, and wild rabbit, pheasant and pigeon from the farmland; vegetables, salad leaves and herbs are grown in the walled garden. Devon Pork Belly, South Coast Brill and Beetroot Potato Gnocchi are some of the delights on the seasonal menu; duck fat roasted potatoes are served with Sunday lunch.
