Churchill 20 - Accommodation
Churchill 20 brings you luxury group accommodation and a huge slice of relaxed country living. The contemporary design incorporates centuries old farm buildings and allows a seamless blend of the indoors and outdoors; it’s the bees knees, this place, there’s even individual temperature controlled air con, so you can have each room as hot or as chilled as you like, a bonus in the sweltering heat of summer. Set on a quiet farm, the house overlooks wide open fields with glorious views of the Somerset countryside.
From the car park a gate leads to a secure courtyard with a lawned area; sip your morning coffee whilst the little ones have fun on the play fort. Step into the house through a glass fronted lobby and straight ahead is a vast open-plan living space; to one end there's comfy seating, in the middle an enormous dining table, and at the other end, a kitchen where style and substance come in equally big measures. Floor to ceiling windows give you constant views of the unspoilt countryside that starts right outside and rolls on for miles; doors open onto a huge glass fronted balcony where you can soak up the sun while the steaks sizzle on the barbecue or you rustle up stone baked pizzas. The glass gate to the BBQ area has a safety lock - there's so much peace of mind at Churchill 20!
Stairs lead down from the lobby, with a stairlift for the less able bodied; there’s a living room/movie room on the left with big screen projection; grab the popcorn and get comfy for a night of non-stop entertainment; two enormous L-shaped sofas and a colour changing electric fireplace give all the right vibes. The games room next door is a seriously cool place to hang out; play pool, table football, air hockey and table tennis, bring your games console and plug it in to the big TV. To save you going up to the kitchen there's even a fridge and a dishwasher.
Left of the entrance lobby are Bedrooms 1-3. Bedroom 1 sleeps 2 and is access friendly with its own wet room. Next door is Bedroom 2 with an ensuite shower room, and on from that is Bedroom 3 which has its own bathroom. Upstairs are Bedrooms 4 and 5, both with ensuite shower rooms. All the beds at Churchill 20 are zip and link so you can have them arranged as super kings or twins; Bedrooms 1-5 can all accommodate extra guest beds so they make great family rooms (see Extras). Each bedroom has a TV and either free standing or built-in wardrobes.
Carry on round the corner on the ground floor to a large utility area with storage and worktop space, a full height fridge-freezer, dishwasher and laundry facilities. This area is handy for prepping for big dinners, or if you hire caterers to come and cook a celebration feast it gives them extra room to work. Round to the left are Bedrooms 6 and 7, both with ensuite shower rooms. Straight ahead is the glass fronted spa hall where the wow factor hits the roof. Spend happy hours splashing about, lounging around and just having a wonderful time; the sauna is tucked away in the corner, the ground level hot tub is in a nook down the end; activate the water volcano when the kids are in the pool and wait for the shrieks of delight!
