If you’re the outdoorsy type and you like a bit of a challenge you’ll enjoy yourself at Black Rock Outdoors, so book up an activity there whilst you’re on your large group holiday in Somerset. They’ve got quite a choice – high ropes and low ropes, archery, caving, kayaking and canoeing, rock climbing, raft building, water balls, slack lining, mountain biking and mountain boarding.
Some activities take place on site, some are off site in the Quantock Hills, or over in the Mendips Hills and possibly even other parts of Somerset and the UK. It’s all jolly good fun and is just as popular with families and hen parties as it is for celebrations and corporate groups. If you’re booking for team building they do have particular areas of focus - time management, decision making, negotiating skills, and using initiative, so think of it as money well spent.
They can accommodate those with disabilities, but obviously have a chat with them before you book. Other than that the proviso is that young ‘ns have to be over 8 years old, and of course, you must wear sensible clothes and footwear. There are loos on site, picnic benches and a BBQ lodge so plan for food after you’ve finished playing, make the most of it all – like we said, it’s great fun, and the surroundings are amazing with view of acres of unspoilt countryside.There’s also a vineyard on the farm, where they do wine tasting, which might well appeal to the grown-ups.
