Tell you what we love about Lively Lodge. We love how pretty it is for starters. You pull up in the drive and see the house standing there, waiting for you and you can’t help but think “oh, that’s cute, I like that, this is gonna be good.” We love how inside is all modern elegance and well equipped, we love the big garden that wraps around 3 sides of the house, we love the fact that there’s a self-contained studio in the grounds so if you’ve got people in your group who value their own space, you can send them off there to sleep and they’ll be happy. And of course, we love that short distance from Lively Lodge to Bath. 5.4 miles, about 10 minutes by car. Now that’s cool. Like we said, it’s hard to find a house that sleeps this many so close to the city.
So you’d expect to find yourselves in the suburbs when you stay here, but no – Lively Lodge is in the countryside, so you get the best of both worlds. Country views, birdsong, peace and quiet, but the buzz of the city is within easy reach. And if you’ve been to Bath before you’ll know what a beautiful city it is. You'll know about its glorious architecture, its history, the attractions, the shops, the galleries and museums, the restaurants, the cafes, the bars, and all the little hidden alleyways and narrow streets that are just so good to explore. A spot of pampering followed by a swim in a rooftop pool with panoramic views over the rooftops of Bath? Yes please. A tour of the atmospheric Roman Baths? A step back to Georgian times at the Jane Austen Centre? Sipping a Pina Colada in a chic cocktail bar, dinner in a fancy restaurant? Yes, yes, yes!
Anyway, back to the house, which actually is so lovely that you might decide to stay put, especially if the sun is shining.
