9/10 - Lovely Lodge. Great Pool. Really well equipped kitchen. Lots of space for big group (we were 6 adults a baby and a toddler). Trampoline and slide a bonus. 10/10 - Thorncombe is one of the best large properties I have rented. It is the perfect space for social gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for food storage. The dining area and lounge provide seating for the whole group. The beds are super comfortable. The grounds are secure (essential if bringing a dog on holiday) and the table tennis and trampoline great fun for the grandchildren. Of course the star of the show is the indoor heated pool providing hours of entertainment in any weather. - Griffin - August 26

9/10 - We've recently stayed at Thorncombe (3 generations) enjoying a fabulous week. The property is well furnished, very clean and tidy, the cake and wine were a welcome treat after a very long drive for us all, the indoor pool was a great feature especially for the younger ones in our party. The outdoor space was also well used by us all as the weather was great. The internet was very slow at times which was frustrating given that we all rely on it so much for everyday living. 10/10 - Thorncombe was perfect for our 3 generation family get together. The living space was ideal and we could see the children playing outside or on the mezzanine while we relaxed around the table or in the sitting area. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfortable! The pool was a highlight and it was great it can be locked so it is a safe place to stay with small children. We enjoyed the West Country Railway, Dunster Castle, Fyne Court and local walks. We are already planning a return trip! - Watson - July 26

We had everything we could need for our family get together and with the lovely weather the outside areas and pool were well used and the child loved the play area. 9/10 - Excellent accommodation that suits all age groups. The indoor swimming pool, table tennis, table football and pool table are good activities especially if the weather is inclement. The kitchen has everything that you need. There is only one shower cubicle and the other bathrooms have overbath showers which are under eaves something to think about if you struggle to get in and out of a bath. 10/10 - Thorncombe. The property was lovely and clean and had everything you would need and more for a big group gathering. Beds were comfortable and facilities excellent. The only point that could be a criticism was that the ceiling height in the upstairs showers was a bit limited due to the sloping ceilings, but we’re a tall family 😆. 10/10 - We had an amazing week at Thorncombe Lodge which I booked as a surprise for my Partner's 70th Birthday. It was a fantastic space for all the family, including 2 dogs.Beautifully furnished and well equipped. The outdoor space and swimming pool were perfect for us too The house was very comfortable and welcoming. George was a wonderful hostess. 10/10 - Thorncombe is a beautiful property, we stayed for New Year with 7 adults and 5 teenagers and it had everything we needed. The kids were in the heated pool all the time. The bedrooms were beautiful with super comfy beds. The open living area was amazing for all of us to eat, drink and play games. 10/10 - House was stunning, warm and so comfortable. The gas BBQ was a welcome touch. The swimming pool was lovely and a great way to spend the afternoon. Only issue we had was playing pool, the space was a little small and we noticed other people prior to us had hit the wall. We know it is likely not possible but due to the sofa bed the pool table and table football would be better swapped.Karen, the owner, was absolutely amazing, warm and welcoming.
