9/10 - A lovely house with generous rooms ideal for our 3 generation weekend break. Very well equipped and had a good range of activities from pool table to trampoline and flat lawn for the footballers and hot tub.The studio was a bonus as everyone enjoyed dancing /singing along with the online music shows.Good pub next door.Doniford Farm Park was nice for the little ones and Watchet is a pleasant town/harbour. Property Manager David was very helpful with our queries both before our arrival and once there. - Handley - August 26

9/10 - Now I have an idea what it feels like to live like a Lord for a few days! Fantastic property in a great setting. Hands-down the best property rental we've ever had.So much room inside and out. Different areas for different members of the family to relax, read, play games, eat, drink & chat. And loads of stuff to do within the property to keep everyone entertained. Only drawback was the unstable WiFi. Fine on the ground floor, but struggled with some 1st & 2nd floor areas. Despite great help from David - Quinn - August 26

10/10 - The Old Rectory is just amazing. Just perfect for hosting family get-togethers. It offers something for everyone of all ages, from the hot tub and BBQ area, the studio, snooker room, fabulous lounges, great well equipped kitchen, five star bedrooms to the climbing frame and trampoline and not forgetting the amazing toy collection in the play room! - Jones - July 26

10/10 - The Old Rectory was simply amazing. We couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone’s bedrooms were superb, bathrooms fantastic, kitchen and equipment second to none. And the views were amazing. 100% would stay at the property again. - Munro - July 26

10/10 - Amazing! The property was lovely, loads of space, nicely done out, brilliantly equipped. But it was the extras that made it so special, the games available to play, the trampoline and children's play area, the hot tub, the electric car charging. It felt like everything had been thought about! We made such special memories there. - Popp - July 26

10/10 - Our stay (six adults, five children aged between nearly three and eight years old) was beyond wonderful. The Old Rectory has to be seen (and stayed in) to be believed! Beautiful rooms, particularly the Games Room and the Play Room, which had such a choice of toys that the children played in it every day. Same of the magnificent garden, a joy to walk around and again, the children loved the large wooden play structure, the trampoline and the flat grass area for running games.
Would we return? Absolutely! - Hills - Jun 26

10/10 - 10 plus more. The Old Rectory is an absolutely amazing house. We have stayed in many Big Houses but this one has been far the best. The Host Katherine who owns the property such a lovely and more than helpful lady. There is nothing that this house does not cater for. Everything is more than over equipped. We have just come back from a 60th birthday surprise for my sister with the whole family and WOW what a house to celebrate in did not want to leave. A great house for the s to make real special memories.- Clarke - Feb 26

10/10 - We had a fantastic stay at the old rectory. The house was absolutely perfect and well decorated and fully stocked with every item we could possibly need. The rooms were large and the quality of the furnishings were high. By far the best rental I have ever stayed in. The welcome staff were friendly and helpful and the house was perfectly positioned to stroll to the pub next door but far enough away to be completely private. Beautiful views, stunning house and would definitely recommend. - Legge - Dec 25

10/10 - On arrival you definitely get the wow factor. Every room was fantastic you could not fault anything. The attention to detail was excellent. David the Property Manager welcomed us on arrival and explained everything. He was always available if we needed to anything. Also met Head of Housekeeping, what a lovely lady. 10/10 - We stayed at The Old Rectory in Somerset and had the most wonderful time. The house itself is absolutely beautiful spacious, full of character, and perfect for a family getaway. Our kids loved it, and as a family we all enjoyed every moment of our stay. The property had everything you could possibly need you name it, it was there, which made our stay so easy and relaxing.- Ahmed - Sept 25

10/10 - The friendly welcome and the 'wow' factor on entering the property. Very spacious and gorgeous rooms. Facilities for all age groups greatly appreciated. 10/10 - We've been doing big family holidays for 10 years and the general consensus is that The Old Rectory is the best property yet. It's set in a beautiful area, with easy access to the Quantox and views out over the Bristol Channel to Wales were spectacular. Plenty of space to spread out, inside and out, always needed with big groups. Great, well equipped kitchen, just what you need when catering for 15 people. - Marshall - July 25

10/10 - The house was immaculate and had everything we wanted for a family stay. It was in a spectacular location and the rooms were well maintained and tastefully decorated. The facilities were excellent-pool, table tennis, hot tub, comfy chairs and quiet little areas to tuck yourself away with a book or relax on the hammock. There was plenty of seating and parasols to offer protection from the sun or drizzle (we had both!) The gym was a great addition for our group as we brought our own fitness trainer…a key member of our family. The kitchen was well equipped and having 2 dishwashers and plenty of crockery, etc. were ideal when catering for 18 guests. A minor niggle was the distance between the main house and the children’s play area, but retrospectively we would have changed the way we used it so it was more inclusive. For a group with more children, this could actually be an advantage! Also, the area itself was excellent with lots of equipment for the children to enjoy. - Hammond - June 25

10/10 - Our grandchildren really enjoyed the garden and the playroom. We loved the yoga studio. There was plenty of space for us without being overwhelming . Claire the house manager was welcoming and helpful. - Coode - June 25

10/10 - The house was amazing, we were lucky with the weather, bbq and took advantage of the space the house offered. I couldn't recommend the old rectory highly enough. I wouldn't want to insult them by recommending any improvement. It's not very often you get a group of people together who all said what a lovely place and had a fantastic time. - Slater - Mar 25

10/10 - Wonderful house. Really high spec. Beautifully decorated. Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and recycling. Internal communal space worked brilliantly for a large group enabling everyone space to relax and have fun together. Great hot tub (kept clean and checked regularly by owner). Enclosed large garden. Comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Spectacular views and no noise from the road despite it being a main road. No criticism at all. 10/10 - The old rectory was amazing, the attention to detail and cleanliness was above and beyond, perfect in every way. There were 11 of us celebrating 40 years of leaving school and there was everything we needed and more. The bedrooms, and bathrooms were fantastic, the kitchen had everything, and the lounges were cosy and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect. We do annual group gatherings as a large party and this was the best we had ever stayed in and can't wait to return next year, totally would recommend it. I would just mention there are no TV in the bedrooms and only 2 TVs in the house, we definitely didn't want or need them, one in the lounge and one in the playroom for children that had loads of toys and games which we didn't use but some of us used the room for yoga/ pilates. The snooker/pool table was a lovely addition. There was nothing we could fault. t was a met & greet on arrival and was very informative, the owner lived next door and was friendly and helpful. - Bush - March 24
