In the middle of the little Somerset town of Wiveliscombe, this shop is bursting with local produce – vegetables, fruit, salad, herbs, bread, cheese, meat, pies and quiches, it’s all there, plus a good range of things for the store cupboard; tea and coffee, cereals, biscuits, jams, pickles and oils. The deli counter is a temptation in itself, with hand sliced honey roast ham, pear & three cheese tart, and a choice of loose olives. If you’re looking for some good cheese for supper come here and you’ll find the best array for miles; if you’re feeling peckish, come and grab a traditional pasty to tuck into.
It’s a gem of a place, staff are friendly and helpful and they’ll even deliver your groceries on weekdays if your order is over £20.
