Wiveliscombe Open Air Swimming Pool, Wiveliscombe, Somerset
‘Wivey Pool’ first opened 90 years ago in this little Somerset town, and it’s been through a lot of changes since then to bring it up to what it is today – a heated and treated pool, with changing cabins and showers. There’s plenty of room for sunbathing and there’s a picnic area and a playground; the atmosphere is quite charming, reminiscent of the lido style pools that a lot of towns used to have. If you’re staying nearby at one of our large group holiday homes, go and have a swim, and then browse around the little town and find a nice café or a friendly pub for lunch, or go and pick up some goodies from Wiveliscombe Farmer’s Market.
The pool is open for family swims Mon-Fri 2.00-5.30 pm, and at weekends from 12.30-5.00 pm.
