The Vintage Inn, Wellington, Somerset
You can’t miss The Vintage Inn, with its red paintwork, right on the main street in Wellington. As Somerset town pubs go, it’s not bad; completely unpretentious with a nice warm atmosphere, a beer garden out the back with a play area for the kids, and homemade food that puts locally sourced ingredients to good use. It’s pub grub, all the favourites like Homemade cheeseburger, Steak and Ale Pie and Fish and chips, but vegetarians aren’t forgotten and can tuck into the likes of Mixed Bean Chilli or Cheese and Broccoli Bake.
If you go in the evening there are a few things worth remembering; Wednesday and Sunday it’s poker, Friday there’s a live DJ and on Saturday there’s live music.
