The Queen’s Head, Broadchalke, Salisbury, Wiltshire

It’s easy to find this 18th century inn near Salisbury as it’s right in the middle of the village, and it’s everything you’d expect; oodles of character with thick stone walls, chunky beams, open fires in the winter, and a patio garden for the summer.
Food is all locally sourced ingredients, home cooked with a bit of flair; pub classics like beer battered fish and chips, steak and ale pie, ham, egg and chips, and lasagne. It gets a little bit fancier with the slow cooked belly pork, creamy wild mushroom tagliatelle and the pan fried chicken breast.
