The Old Rectory Reviews

10/10 - The house was immaculate, we never realised that the caretaker Pete lived in the house as well so made us conscious with the children on the first night not to make too much noise. Pete (the caretaker) was very informative and gave us full instructions on the dos and don'ts with the running of the house. (Very nice man). We felt like we'd won the lottery living in such wonderful surroundings! What a view! We used the gas barbecue and hot tub. Kitchen facilities were second to none! Outstanding!!! If we could all afford it we'd be back like a shot to celebrate another family members big birthday! Thank you so much. - Bulpitt

10/10 - Lovely feel to the whole place. Beautifully decorated and lots of nice touches with toiletries and robes provided. I personally loved the kitchen, it had everything and more to cater and cook for our group of 20, perhaps a few more bar stools would have been nice as everyone always congregates in the kitchen. Games room with table tennis and snooker was well used and enjoyed and as we had such great weather, the garden boules provided a lot of fun. Group of 20 and no grumbles from anyone, what more can I say except that we would love to return next year. We took the Steam Train from Watchet to Minehead. The trip was enjoyed by all age groups from 7 year old to 89 year old. - Johns

9/10 - Was absolutely fantastic but would have liked sockets near a mirror in our room for drying/styling hair and others said the same. Otherwise really couldn’t fault. - Atkinson

10/10 - We all had a lovely time, the Old Rectory is a beautiful house, very clean and it was well equipped with everything we needed. We were there for a long weekend to celebrate an 80th birthday, so we didn't go out. - Coleman

10/10 - We had a wonderful New Years break with 13 adults and 8 children ranging from 10 weeks to 6 years old. The house lay out and room sizes were amazing. It would have been nice to have TVs in the rooms so we could have more private time but the house provided everything we needed. If an indoor pool was ever on the horizon we would be back all the time. It was just the perfect place for us to spend NY. - Mawbey Family -

I would recommend sleeps12 to others. - Marshall Family

9/10 - We had a really awesome time staying in The Old Rectory, what a lovely property finished to a very high standard and in such great condition! The hot tub, table tennis/pool table and the huge baths were group favourites! All the little touches made our stay really special i.e. the bath robes, toiletries, milk in the fridge and the well equipped kitchen! I'd like to say a special thank you for arranging the additional mattress for us and helping me out with my Tesco delivery when I arrived. A country walk starting in Kilve and circling along by the coast. The coastline is not to be missed, very impressive. - Caddle

10/10 - The house and grounds were all amazing, we had 12 adults and 5 children and found the layout of the house just perfect. We were celebrating our Mum and Dads diamond wedding anniversary, so we had ages from 1 to 81! We will definitely go back! It was everything and more, just the most perfect weekend and memories to cherish.  - The Midwinter Family

10/10 - Photos don't do it justice especially the space, kitchen and hot tub. Host was very lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Property has been restored and furnished to the highest possible standard - Stevens
