Payhembury, Honiton, Devon

Payhembury is a thriving village in Devon with a big community and quite a lot going on; there’s a Short Mat Bowls Club, a Sailing and Boating Group and a Tennis Club, besides regular events like coffee mornings, a youth club and a Spring Bulb and Flower Show. Everything you’d imagine life in a friendly Devon village to be, and a hub of the community is the Six Bells Inn where they serve generous portions of home made pub food. It’s an attractive place with old cottages, a village green and a charming old church, and of course it’s surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Blackdown Hills; wide open fields and gentle slopes interspersed with copses; lace up your boots, go for a good walk and then return for a bite to eat. Just what life in the country is made of.
