Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, Devon
Toot toot! All aboard at Woody Bay Station for a ride on a good old fashioned steam train on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway! Step back in time as you travel this short route through some truly picturesque countryside amidst the rolling hills and wooded valleys of North Devon. The train currently only runs to Kilmington Lane Halt where you can dismount if you like, and stroll to the Fox & Goose Inn, in the little village of Parracombe; there you can enjoy a laid back lunch before catching the train back again – what a relaxing time! Or you might choose to stay on the train – after all, they do serve traditional Devon Cream teas on board!
