Ilminster Arts Centre, Ilminster, Somerset
Right in the middle of the lovely little town of Ilminster in South Somerset, Ilminster Arts Centre is set in a former church with regularly changing exhibitions, a gift shop that’s packed with all kinds of hand crafted delights and a popular café. It’s a nice place, staff are friendly, and quite often you’ll walk in to find a workshop going on in the front hall, or someone browsing the second hand book stall. They have all kinds of events on a weekly basis; live music, poetry, talks, that sort of thing, and what’s really useful is the area just as you go in where there’s heaps of useful information about the area – things to see and do, places to visit, and walks, etc.
