Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show, Frome, Somerset
Cheese lovers unite! Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show is held every year in September in a massive showground just outside of Frome. Star of the show is the cheese of course, with over 1500 exhibits, traders, a cheese auction and a cheese bar and cookery theatre. Then there’s the entertainment – live music, kids activities, a dog show and arena attractions.
Down by the lake there are country pursuits and challenges like laser clay pigeon shooting, archery, a climbing wall and fly fishing demos; back up the hill there are over 350 trade stands and a mega food hall showcasing some of the best local produce around. And of course, it wouldn’t be an agricultural show without the livestock and equine parades, and the likes of flower arranging, cake displays and handicrafts.
It's one humongous day out at Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show, with loads to do and something for all ages. If you’re looking for things to do when you’re staying nearby on your large group holiday in Somerset, we’d recommend this – but you should book your tickets in advance really, from the website, Spring onwards.
