What a delight! The Canal Tea Rooms & Garden are tucked away in a pretty little spot next to the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton, in the grounds of a historic thatched cottage - idyllic in springtime when the magnolia is out. It can get very busy here in the summer, with people relaxing in the garden, enjoying the warm weather, sipping tea and tucking into homemade cake or a proper Devon cream tea; if the weather's not so good, sit in the Garden Room instead.
Should you find yourselves in need of lunch after a stroll along the tow path or when you get back from a trip along the canal on a horse-drawn barge, stop by for sandwiches, baguettes or the likes of smashed avocado on sourdough. Definitely one to remember when you're staying nearby on your large group holiday in Devon.
