Broomfield, Somerset
This tiny village on the edge of the Quantock Hills in Somerset, has a tranquil, timeless air and it’s actually quite a delight to have an amble here, admiring the quaint cottages, the church and the village green. People usually come to here to spend a bit of time at the nature reserve at Fyne Court; the country house burnt down in 1894 but there's a certain air of tranquility there now in the cobbled courtyard amidst the ruins. There are nature trails, woods to explore, ponds to investigate and some very good decent length walks, not to mention a very nice tea room where they serve delectable home made cake.
