Bishops Lydeard Mill, Bishops Lydeard, Taunton, Somerset
A working watermill with an overshot wheel where you can see a wheelwright’s, saddler’s and blacksmith’s workshops, along with numerous artefacts in the Mill and Rural Life Museum. You can also stroll around the gardens where there’s a gypsy caravan, shepherd’s hut and outdoor displays; then go to the tea room for a big fat slice of home made cake. A nice way to pass a few hours and to learn about the bygone ways of life in this beautiful part of Somerset. Dogs welcome on leads.
