10/10 - We absolutely loved the house. Such a beautifully done vast kitchen with really useful equipment and two dishwashers. Loads of crockery, glasses and serving dishes, even a good assortment of children's plates and bowls. Absolutely ideal for 20 of us! The pool table was wonderful to keep the older kids busy, the big TV was great and loads of sofa space round it for a chill out. We used the Sonos music system which we also have at home. The bar area was great for an evening of cocktails and the extra fridge space was handy to keep our wine cool! Every bedroom was very comfortable and we managed with one wheelchair user as he could do a few steps without the chair and we used the fire exit to get him in and out on to the terrace. We ate mainly outside using the lovely big table there and the bbq. Everyone took turns in the hot tub which was really great. Thanks so much to Duncan and Helen. They were great hosts and answered the few daft questions on email before we arrived with a sense of humour. We absolutely recommend the Plough and will be back. - Wright

10/10 - Very clean and well kept. Bedrooms and en suite facilities were excellent. Kitchen was well designed and stocked with equipment. Generally everything was to a very high standard. Great to have a safe enclosed garden for the children and a sheltered outside sitting area. Hot tub was popular. Recommend the canal towpath walk from Bath to Bradford upon Avon. - Bennedik

Hottest week of 2020 so outside space particularly well used including the under cover eating area in the evening - no need to go abroad! Places to Visit: Lacock, Bath, Bradford on Avon. 10/10 - The house was superb for a large group with children. There was plenty of space and the bedrooms were surprisingly quiet! The furnishings were comfortable and having an ensuite in every bedroom was a real bonus. To top it off, the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to The Plough. - Biddel

10/10 - Couldn’t fault the property, no issues at all. Clean and well equipped and everything working. Had a problem with water leaking in from the storm but informed the owner and he offered to come out straight away. We were ok and don’t need him as I just wanted to make him aware. His response was very quick which I liked. Just a very minor observation-the wine glasses are extremely thin and therefore break easily. Unfortunately storm Dennis was about so plans had to change. Thankfully found things to do inside and also walked to the farm cafe up the road which was really nice. - Stanbridge

10/10 - The house was perfect for us, it had plenty of room a table we could all sit round, the bedrooms were very spacious, with all on suite, kitchen was a great space to cook and gather in, the hot tub was brilliant, nice and hot. There is a farm cafe in walking distance does nice food and a lovely scenic views, would definitely recommend this to other people. - Hill

10/10 - The cottage is perfect. Car park was big enough for all of our cars. Had an ocado shop turn up which was really useful. Great location. You can walk into Bradford on Avon if you fancy a walk. The rooms are fantastic. All ensuite. All a high standard. There isn't one room you wouldn't want to stay in. We loved the bar area. Great wine fridge. Ice machine. Pool table was always in use. We loved having that. We had a wonderful meal cooked by http://www.jessedavieschef.com Can highly recommend. Great communication with the host. Perfect weekend. - Smith

10/10 - We all loved The Plough, it was absolutely perfect for our family celebration. Every detail was thought of and the whole place felt very comfortable for all ages. Thanks for letting us stay! - Stuchfield

9/10 - We can recommend days out to Lacock, Bath, Bristol, Bratton White Horse, Avebury Stone Circle, just for starters. It's a wonderful area for history and natural beauty. The house was warm comfortable, quirky, came complete with a hot pool and a built in bar - everything our group needed for a fantastic week away. One or two minor comments on clothes storage in some bedrooms - could do with looking at how this could be improved. And kitchen storage for a group of twenty was a bit limited. Maybe some carefully placed wall units or shelves would help. But these are just nit-picking - we all absolutely loved it! Thank you to Duncan for making us so welcome. - Wilson

10/10 - We loved the big areas which meant our big family could sit together! The pool table and hot tub are great additions. The only thing I could suggest to improve which is very miner would be to have an Additional TV maybe in the kitchen so that adults can was a different show to the children. But it was great!! Longleat was about 30 mins away, Bath was good for shopping, there was a pumpkin farm which was nice do to with the kids and lots of national parks. - Underwood

8/10 - Property very nice - only thing to note is that it is on a main road and there is quite a bit of road noise. - Males

10/10 - The property was beautiful. It was in a great location being very near to the pretty town of Bradford-on-Avon which had a train that ran regularly to Bath. The house was well equipped and spotless. The best large property that we have stayed in. One minor tip some oven gloves would be good. - Doubleday

10/10 - Everything was provided down to a lovely welcome hamper, 2 ovens and hobs, 2 dishwashers, an ice machine and multiple fridges. We all loved this house and will definitely go again! - Middleton

9/10 - Loved the layout and it was really well equipped. Pool table was a great hit as was the hot tub. Clay pigeon shooting with Team Pursuits at Owl Lodge near Lacock. - Smith

10/10 - Amazing accommodation and brilliant communication with Duncan the owner of The Plough. The only slight problem was in terms of the Sleeps12 service: there was no auto prompt for us to pay our security deposit. Duncan had to message us himself to nudge us to pay which wasn't ideal. Otherwise excellent! Loads of National Trust properties a short distance away. We went to the local pool on our one rainy day. - Gall

Response: "Automatic reminders are always sent out 14 days prior to payment requirement. Sometimes these can go into Spam/Junk." - Sleeps12

10/10 - Amazing property, absolutely huge, so many bedrooms all spotless and so clean and fresh! Really modern. Open kitchen is great for a big group. So many seating areas inside and out, and hot tub and garden area just perfect. Cannot recommend it enough for a big group. Would definitely stay again! We can recommend Bath Racecourse! - Anderson

10/10 - We can recommend Segway Olympics. - O'Malley

9/10 -The accommodation was excellent, the pub has been reconfigured into the best space, for both a corporate offsite and a party with family & friends! The facilities are excellent and space comfortable, kitchen really well equipped and the addition of 2 dishwashers and loads of fridge and freezer space makes it brilliant! As a team we had arranged a group activity of stand up paddle boarding down the centre of Bath which was fantastic, booked with Original Wild, Bath. - Jerram

8/10 - Duncan and Helen could not have been more obliging. - Neweman

10/10 - We loved that we had so much space and that everything was clean and organised. I can't think of anything I'd change! - Reinert

8/10 - The downstairs and outside space was great. Rooms good size. I would install locks on the bedrooms for some privacy. Room 11 ventilation was poor. On the whole an enjoyable stay. We visited Bath AbbeyRoman Baths and Weston Super Mare Beach. - Sathi

9/10 - The house is absolutely stunning and well equipped. We had a fantastic stay. A couple of things we thought could be improved: there was a smell of gas/something unpleasant out in the garden area most of the time which was off putting when sitting out in the sun. Also, we felt all the bedrooms could have had larger bins than just the small one in the bathroom. Other than that a fabulous property for large groups. - Franek

10/10 - Fantastic house which was perfect for our group of six families (middle aged parents), with kids in their 20s. Everything in lovely condition and it was a joy to stay there. We had a lovely walk across country to Bradford on Avon for a pub lunch. - Norcliffe

10/10 - Superb accommodation with nothing missing. Ample room for 20 family members. Comfortable, quiet friendly. Thank you Duncan and Helen. Local villages and Bath are wonderful. - Ellison

10/10 - The house was fantastically presented and really gave the impression that we were staying in luxury accommodation. We loved the special touch of having a box of locally produced goods in the kitchen on arrival. The bar area is fantastic and we spent a lot of time congregated in the area around it. Certain members of the group were enjoying pretending to run their own pub! The kitchen was perfectly suited to the catering company, Joshua’s Catering, cooking us a fantastic 3 course meal. On that note, we would definitely recommend Joshua’s as their service and food was impeccable. They left the kitchen absolutely spotless too. The dining area fitted our group of 25 perfectly. The lounge/social area was also perfect as a room to get everyone enjoying themselves and we made use of the Sonos music system in there. The hot tub gave the weekend a touch of luxury and was well used at various points. All bedrooms were fantastic with great decor and ensuites. Everyone was happy. We loved it and are already thinking about the next time we can go back. - Canning

10/10 - Wonderfully decorated to a high standard. So warm and snug. The hot tub was superb. The space was just perfect and the house is beautiful and friendly. - Heney

10/10 - The house is absolutely stunning! Could not have asked for more. The service provided by sleeps 12 was spot on. Extremely helpful and the online booking portal very easy to use. Our interactions with the property owner have been fantastic, so helpful and accommodating. Really couldn't have asked for more other than an earlier check in but it is understandable why this could not have been accommodated. We only left the property for a few hours during our stay to go into Bath for lunch and a planned activity. However driving through Bradford on Avon, it looked beautiful and definately somewhere I'd look to explore in the future. - Betts

10/10 - Everything was amazing, could not fault in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything we needed and more, fully equipped and carefully thought of down to the last detail. We would like to thank the owners for creating such an amazing holiday home and making our stay extra special, this was by far one of our best holidays. We visited Bath city, Castle Combe and Bristol. - Rigglesworth

10/10 - The whole booking was incredible and we were very pleased with our stay. The owners were in close proximity for any contact and we would love to go back again. We walked into the nearby village which had a canal and country park (lots of space for kids to play). Only an hour's drive to Cheddar Gorge, 15 min drive to Bath. - Payne

10/10 - The house was warm, comfortable and very well equipped. Very friendly and welcoming owner to greet you at the property. Fantastic decorations and lights with all facilities in working order. We can recommend the Bath Christmas markets. - Richards

9/10 - We particularly enjoyed the pool table which was was fun. - Leong

10/10 - Very spacious, clean and well furnished place. Great toy and puzzle selection for the children - they loved playing with them all! Hot tub was great. A really lovely property and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks. Minor suggestions for ‘improvement’ - we could have used a couple of Pyrex type bowls for use with the microwave ideally, and also a couple of bigger jugs for gravy/custard - the couple of smaller jugs were, ok but with 15 adults, they weren’t enough. - Williams

10/10 - We really liked the open area for games and the bar too. Perhaps include instructions of how to actually get in the place - our satnav sent us to The Plough but on the wrong side from where the car park is, which made it very difficult for our coach to turn around. Therefore, make it more explicit where the entrance is. - Mullan

Response: "Directions are included within your booking information and can be printed off or emailed to all members of your group." - Sleeps12

9/10 - Great house so well laid out and everything was thought about . There was a large party of us and there was no where for coats and shoes . Other than that it was a perfect stay! - McCormich

9/10 - Great venue, well kitted out, great commutation from the owners. On the Sleeps12 website it states that there are table cloths and napkins - there aren't any and the owners told us that they have asked for that to removed from your website. I also contacted Sleeps12 and asked about coffee facilities, I was told there was a Nespresso pod machine in the property so I bought loads of pods but there isn't a machine. - Davies

Response: "Thank you for letting us know, we have now removed any reference to the table linen and unfortunately the Nespresso machine was broken so has now been removed. Cafetieres are available at the property." - Sleeps12

10/10 - Lovely welcome. Nice surprise welcome basket of fresh bread and treats as well as milk and local cheeses in fridge. Well laid out with plenty of space for all. Super showers and comfy beds. Wouldn't hesitate to book it again. - Chubb

10/10 - The Plough is absolutely first class but being new there are a few minor tweaks that would improve it such as fitting an extractor fan in the kitchen, an additional kettle and plates that fit in the dishwasher. We can recommend the Guided Tour of Bath. - Courtney

10/10 - Loved the bar area. No wardrobes to hang clothes. Extra towels or bathrobes needed to use for the hot tub. - Lloyd

Response: "Please check the FAQ's for a list of things provided at the property. All bedding and bathroom towels are provided but we ask you to bring extra towels for the hot tub". - Sleeps12

9/10 - The house was amazing and apart from a few little points, it was pretty much perfect. They are so trivial I'm not even going to mention them in case this gets published! The only reason I don't give a 10 is that the location is a bit far from anywhere and there's a fair amount of traffic noise. That can't be helped but I need perfect peace for a perfect 10! Bradford town is lovely and an easy cycle although the last bit is very steep and narrow, so be careful. You can walk or cycle the canal all the way to Bath via TWO aqueducts, the first one having a lovely pub next to it. - Dicks

10/10 - Just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had at yours over this last weekend. Your converted pub was extremely well renovated, you’ve obviously thought a lot about the layout and how best to utilise the bar/games room and kitchen. Thanks for the little extras...the welcome hamper, charcoal; this made all the difference. I would highly recommend your place and would be happy to provide a testimonial. - Trott

10/10 - Just wanted to say a big thank you for this amazing holiday home. We thoroughy enjoyed ourselves, your additional entertainment was really appreciated (the kids love it!). Hopefully we will be back. - Varsha and family

9/10 - The Plough really is a fabulous place to stay for a large group of people combining rustic authenticity with modern stylishness. There is a wonderful sense of space and light throughout, with the pool table, hot tub (with funky lights, bubbles and water jets) and widescreen tv offering great entertainment opportunities. And let's not forget the actual massive bar with it's own fridges and assortment of glasses. What fun to gather round on bar stools and serve yourselves! The lawn area is also a nice bonus, offering the opportunity for a few outside games, with a covered decking area ideal for gathering together on a warm evening. We had an amazing time there and the owners were very thoughtful in providing just about everything we could need with a few luxury goodies thrown in which were greatly appreciated. Bradford on Avon is lovely - we walked along the canal to a pub (The Cross Guns) - but parking is atrocious, so avoid weekends or bank holidays. - Herbert
