GREENSWANGS HOUSE - ACCESS STATEMENT
A unique luxury contemporary country house, finished to an exacting specification. Greenswangs sleeps up to 10 guests - 8 guests in four stunning spacious bedrooms and a further 2 on an occasional double.
Greenswangs House is accessed by a pair of impressive sandstone gate piers, leading to a gravelled turning circle and parking area at the front of the house. The gravel drive continues around the house to where there is further parking to the rear of the property.
Bookings can be made online where you can see a gallery of photographs of the property. You will be emailed directions, key codes and information before your arrival.
Trains: The nearest train station is at Locerbie (7miles)
Groceries: Can be delivered by Tesco by pre-ordering online
Arrival and Parking: There is ample parking to the front and rear of the property.
Greenswangs House is a large and spacious modern property with professional interior design and high quality fixtures and fittings. The house is built in the style of a traditional Dumfriesshire farmhouse, with a natural slate roof, rendered walls, and sandstone quoins and pedestals.
The property has all the benefits of modern luxury living, including underfloor heating, Wifi, flat screen digital televisions, DVD player, iPod speaker doc, dishwasher, and washer and dryer.
The front sandstone porch leads you up a few steps to a wooden front door with window lights either side. A large solid wood floored hallway with hand-built oak stairs case rises to the first floor, opening up onto a large and spacious living room with a south-facing bay window and a pool table. A second lounge/guest bedroom has a 40" flat screen television, and a commodious corner sofa that can be used as double bed for additional accommodation for 2 more guests on request. There is a ground floor shower room off the kitchen.
The kitchen is well equipped with all modern appliances, including a wine store, an American-style fridge freezer, and two double wall ovens. A large dining table seats 12 and there is a conservatory with stunning views across the Solway Firth.
On the first floor there is a spacious master bedroom witha queen sized double bed, en suite bathroom and walk-in dressing room. A second master bedroom has zip and link beds which can be arranged as either a kingsize or twins, and there is an en-suite bathroom. Two further bedrooms on the first floor also have zip and link beds (kingsize ot twin) and these rooms share a good sized family bathroom.
Outside there is a lawned area to the front of the house continuing onto a gravelled patio area with garden furniture, gazebo and a barbeque for use in the summer months. There is a further lawned area to the side of the house, and a hot tub with far reaching views across to the Solway Firth.
