It’s not very often you get the chance to stay in a beautiful Tudor manor house for your large group holidays – but here it is: Mingleby Manor in Somerset. And what a very special place it is, lovingly restored to merge all the comforts of modern life with the original 16th century character, set in large gated gardens. 6 bedrooms sleep 14 guests, interiors are eclectically stylish - the kind you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine. A few strides from the house the former stables are now the games room and hot tub house.

It feels so peaceful at Mingleby Manor, though it’s only a 5 minute walk to the vibrant shops and restaurants in Portishead. The beaches on the Somerset coast are very close by and within easy reach there are family attractions, historic houses, activities and country pubs; Bristol is less than 30 minutes’ drive, the M5 (J19) is 10 minutes away. This is a unique and wonderful place to stay for big family holidays, days away with friends, sophisticated hen weekends and self-catering corporate breaks. Now isn’t that something to talk about: “We stayed in a Tudor manor house…” Come and lord it up, make magical memories.

Great for: Families, friends, refined hen weekends, corporate groups.

"10/10 - The manor is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for large parties, the hosts Helen and mick are so welcoming and obliging I just wish I could have stayed forever, our bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The hot tub was very popular and the robes were genius, so many areas for guests to be together or apart. And just a few minutes walk into town which was surprising as it felt like you were in the countryside."
