10/10 - We enjoyed everything about our stay, wouldn’t change anything. Caroline the manager made us feel very welcome. - Yarwood - November 2019

10/10 - Barnes - October 2019

9/10 - A multitude of days out, but we invited the classical guitarist Jonathan Pickard in to give a recital and it was a perfect setting for a beautiful recital given by by the UK’s foremost classical guitarist. Highly recommended. The car parking was inadequate and we had to move the cars for refuse collection and linen delivery even when we had three cars parked on the road! - Craven - October 2019

10/10 - It was perfect. - Clark - September 2019

10/10 - We loved the fully equipped house, the games room, the pool and the space. I personally would have liked a gate to make the garden more secure as I was concerned about the dog being able to escape. Other than that it was perfect. - Baxter - September 2019

8/10 - The cakes on arrival were a nice touch. - Bland - September 2019

10/10 - The property was amazing and exactly what we were expecting. It would have been good if the garden was secure as it is a dog friendly property. The dressing room for the big bedroom upstairs didn't have a mirror in it which was a shame. A few clothes peg would come in handy. We visited Lyme Regis and Clarks Shopping Village. - Hickford - July 2019

10/10 - The house was very spacious, and the pool area was very good. The games room needs some chairs as well as the bean bags provided. Just small wooden ones with seat cushions would be sufficient. We can recommend Ham Hill. - Madeley - July 2019

10/10 - Enjoyed the pool, could add a free standing jacuzzi. - Banda - June 2019

9/10 - It would be perfect if the centre lawn was Astro turf as was damp and a bit muddy even as the weather was hot. - Hoyle - June 2019

9/10 - Everything was lovely, plenty of facilities, beautiful spacious and well appointed house and pool.
Host was extremely welcoming. Beautiful hot water for showers and baths, but no cold water for drinking. Lack of ventilation for upstairs rooms, very hot. All minor details, would recommend to anyone, as we had a fabulous time. Thank you.
- Whitby - June 2019

10/10 - The overall standard and layout of the Barn was exceptional with every need catered for. We have stayed in a number of large properties and this was by far the best. - Dommett - June 2019

10/10 - The kids LOVED the pool & games room. The adults LOVED how happy the children were entertaining themselves. We would’ve enjoyed it even more if the weather was better so we’ll be returning in the hope that we get some sunshine in the courtyard for a BBQ too. - Van Den Ouden - June 2019

10/10 - We enjoyed our time there, maybe some more comfortable chairs outside. Apart from that, perfect. - Eastley - May 2019

10/10 - Being met by Caroline, the manager, on arrival and given the tour of the property was helpful. The pool was enjoyed by all young and old. Although when watching the children, a chair would have been useful for the adults watching to sit down as it's very warm in the pool area. BBQ was great, we used it 3 times. Bedrooms, bathrooms and showers fantastic. Enough spaces for a quiet read if required. All facilities were excellent and we and our guests loved our stay. Hopefully be back one day! We visited Lyme Regis, Bridport and West Bay. Fleet Air Arm MuseumLongleatHam Hill Nature Reserve and The Prince Of Wales Pub there. Wells, Glastonbury, Clark's Village at Street. Montacute. Somerset Cider Brandy Tour at Burrow Hill, Kingsbury Episcopi. - Smith - May 2019

9/10 - The whole property was in very good condition, and ideal for us all, the children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and we enjoyed the layout, where we could be outside and they were within sight the majority of the time because of the layout. Our only suggestion is that for the two of us who have limited mobility the provision of handles within the showers would have been very helpful, especially as the shower trays are a little slippery. However the above is a minor point, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. - Webster - May 2019

10/10 - We all had a wonderful time at Coat Barn, the whole family loved every moment. As a large group we rarely all get together and Coat Barn was the perfect place to do this. The accommodation is first class and couldn't be better. Everyone used the pool and games room, the central courtyard was ideal because it kept us all together but gave us space for safe play. Our only minus was having to be out by 10am which was hard to achieve and rather took away from the relaxing two days/3 nights we had been there. Whilst we appreciate the property has to be changed over for the next booking surely departure by 11am is possible if there is an extra person to do the changeover. Overall we should love to go back, but looking at the availability calendar we need to be thinking way ahead to book again, clearly a very popular property which isn't surprising considering how lovely Coat Barn is! - Lovatt - April 2019

Response: "We would love to give our guests as much time as possible in our wonderful properties, but regrettably, we are unable to offer alternative check in/check out times due to the time it takes to clean and maintain our holiday houses in preparation for your visit. There is a lot to be done - not just the general cleaning, but also swimming pools, hot tubs and saunas to be maintained, gardens to be checked, BBQ lodges to be tidied, and sometimes odd jobs to be done. Even with an experienced team it still takes time to get the house tip-top for your holiday. We are sure you will understand; it's important to us that each and every one of our properties is absolutely perfect for our guests." - Sleeps12

10/10 - Loved the quality and comfort of the furniture, the volume and variety of the kitchen contents and the open plan living space. The only thing that could be improved was to mow the grass behind the swings so the children could have run and played football there. We visited Fleet Air Museum. - Packham - April 2019

Response: "The area behind the play equipment is agricultural and therefore not mown regularly." - Sleeps12

10/10 - We enjoyed everything about the house. Shame the grass was not cut on the adjoining meadow as our 6 grandson would have enjoyed playing. We can recommend a day out to Cheddar Gorge. - Judd - April 2019

10/10 - Bryan - April 2019

10/10 - House was absolutely perfect and we had a fantastic time. - Innes - March 2019

10/10 - Ham Hill and the Prince of Wales pub are perfect for a mini ramble with children and then a quick refreshing drink! - Lawton - February 2019

10/10 - We had entertainment come into the property, Casino and Cocktail Making theses were fantastic and the property is large enough to accommodate this. - Simpson - February 2019

10/10 - The property is of an extremely high standard. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool. - Hamblin - January 2019

10/10 - We loved the game room for the kids and the pool, the place is big enough for 17 of us and at the same cosy for those quiet moments. - Tagsa - December 2018

10/10 - Coat Barn was the most perfect venue for our weekend. It was ideal for every member of the family ranging from 6 months to 74 years. The kitchen was so well equipped and every detail has been thought of. Everything was of a very high standard leaving us wanting for nothing. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much Sleeps 12. - Standing - December 2018

9/10 - Feerick - November 2018

10/10 - Our second time at this lovely barn and it accommodates our 8 adults and 10 children really well, they love having the pool so close, thoroughly enjoyed by both old and young. Clarkes Village shopping outlet really good. - Morgan - October 2018

10/10 - Elliott - October 2018

10/10 - It was an amazing house couldn't fault anything, kitchen was fully equipped, me and my two sisters came with our families and we all had such an amazing time the kids loves the pool and the space they had inside the property. Would recommend highly. - Rahman - October 2018

10/10 - Loved the property. It had everything we needed. 18 of us had a very relaxing time. The house was very clean and welcoming and was exceptionally well equipped. Very very happy. - Pickering - September 2018

10/10 - We loved every minute of Coat Barn, it would have been good if we could open the swimming pool door so that we could watch children play and swim whilst sitting outside but understood the reason as why this could not happen. Caroline was extremely welcoming and the bottles of champagne and cake for mine and my husbands joint 40th birthdays was so thoughtful. We hope to return one day! Lyme Regis was a wonderful day out about 45 mins away. - Macleod - September 2018

Respons: "Swimming pool doors now able to open up onto courtyard" - Owner

10/10 - The pool was fantastic fun. The length of the lounge/dining/kitchen is amazing. Recommend outside caterers cooking a meal - it was amazing! Lyme Regis is smashing. - White - August 2018

10/10 - I am disabled and couldn’t get into the pool therefore a rail either side of the steps would have allowed me to get in. - Bartlett - August 2018

9/10 - Swimming pool was great also the sky box office. Some baking tins and pans could do with replacing. But loved the place very comfortable. Had a great day in Weymouth also Lyme Regis. - Smith - August 2018

8/10 - We had a lovely time. The welcoming gifts of cake and champagne was a thoughtful gesture. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and the house offered just the accommodation we needed. However, it could have been further improved in the following ways: 1. More fly repellents in the house as there were a large number of flies. 2. In the heat, the upstairs bedrooms were extremely hot. Understandably for safety reasons the windows could not be opened wide, therefore a fan in each room would have been welcome. 3. In the photos of the house on your website, it shows the pool doors open. Unfortunately (due to being told the room was heated and not the pool) we were not able to open them. 4. We were so pleased that you allow dogs on the premises but unfortunately it was not secure so one of the dogs escaped on to the main road. I am sure this could easily be rectified with some small fences. All in all we really enjoyed our week. - Fenwick - July 2018

Response - The pool and pool area is heated all year - August 2018

9/10 - We can recommend a visit to Ham Hill. - Johnston - July 2018

10/10 - All was perfect. From your services to the property itself to the manager of the property. - Castles - June 2018

9/10 - Coat Barn is lovely and spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There are two minor points that could have improved our experience: Firstly, the cold water pipes run near the underfloor heating which means you have to run the water for ages to get cold water - it would be great if there was a fridge with a cold water drinking feed in it so there is instant cold water. Secondly, the upstairs rooms get very hot and it would be great if there were a few more windows that opened in them. Room 4 is large but only has one window that opens and for health & safety reasons (which we totally understand!) it can only be opened a very small amount. The weather wasn't particularly hot when we were there but despite this, the upstairs rooms were far too hot. I can't recommend days out as we went walking every day. The walks we found were fantastic and the scenery was beautiful. - Boyden - June 2018

9/10 - Extra DVD player in games room. All the hard surfaces made it very noisy. Sound absorbing material would help. The outside loungers look very stylish but are not comfortable. The helpful and responsive attitude from Caroline was much appreciated. - Visited Wookey Hole. - Bell - May 2018

9/10 - Loved the size of the house and the facilities. Some form of fence to contain the courtyard would be good to stop little ones from running out. - Vickers - May 2018

10/10 - Every thing was great. We can recommend Clarks Village for a bit of shopping. - Webb - May 2018

9/10 - We can recomend the Fleet Air Arm Museum and West Somerset Railway for days out. - Martin - April 2018

7/10 - A lovely property however the steps leading down to the front door need a hand rail to help younger children and those less stable walk down. The pool also needs a handrail for getting in and out for the safety of children. A really lovely property however accessibility for young children and those with disabilities needs to be looked at as a matter of urgency. Caroline the property manager was so lovely and helpful a real asset who goes out of her way to make families stays as enjoyable as possible. Days out we recommend are National trust places nearby. - Martin - April 2018

9/10 - House and location ideal. Gifts on arrival and Caroline very accommodating. We can recommend days out to Haynes Motor Museum (good for all ages), Fleet Air Museium enjoyed by all and the Beaches. - Wickham - April 2018

9/10 - The welcoming from Caroline was perfect . The barn was spacious, spotless and very well equipped. We found the beds very comfortable. Our only recommendation would be a couple of pool games. (Couple of balls, inflatables, water volleyball.....) . We would definitely return, it’s great for a family gathering - enough space to be together but equally enough space not to be on top of each other. - Mclaughlin - March 2018

9/10 - Enjoyed the amount of space and of course the swimming pool! Would have liked a sofa or some easy chairs around the kitchen area as that was where most of us congregated during the day, but apart from that minor detail it was a brilliant house and a brilliant weekend. Hope to return soon. - Bishop Group - February 2018

Response: Some more soft seating has now been added to the kitchen area for comfort. - Sleeps12.

10/10 - The whole thing was amazing, far better than anything we could have imagined. We enjoyed trips to Flip Out in Wellington and the walks around Ham Hill. - McMillan Family - February 2018
