The Miniature Pony Centre, Newton Abbott, Devon

Get up close to some seriously cute creatures at The Miniature Pony Centre within Dartmoor National Park; stroke them, cuddle them, ride them; pony passionatas will be in their element.
This is also home to two gigantic heavy horses, and the sweetest, fluffiest Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys; in fact they breed them here, with the babies born in the spring, so don’t miss a chance to see them. Here every day during 2018 is a unicorn, White Lightening….
It’s not just about horses and ponies though, you can also see chickens, peacocks and cockatiels, and in Pets Corner there are rabbits and guinea pigs, and some more unusual critters like giant African land snails, giant millipedes and stick insects.
So take the young ‘uns and go and have some fun; they’ll be talking about it for days, and won’t they have something to tell their friends when they get back to school! Take a picnic, or if your tummy starts rumbling go to the café and have a light lunch or a cake, and if the little ones have excess energy to get rid of, take them to any of the four play centres. Family fun, happy memories.
