The Gruffalo Trail, Soudley, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire

If you take the little ones to The Dean Heritage Centre in the Forest of Dean when you’re on your large group holiday in Gloucestershire, there’s fun to be had on the Gruffalo Trail. Everyone’s heard of the Gruffalo and most children are familiar with the characters in the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Well, here’s where you can all spot them, following mouse round a buggy friendly woodland trail and along the river, set within the 5 acre site.

As mouse makes his journey through the woods he meets all the animals along the way, with the story set out on boards. Make your way across the wobbly wooden bridge at the end of the trail, go and say hello to the ducks and then have something to eat in the café.

Opening times vary throughout the year so check the website before you go.
