This is a Chef & Brewer pub, so if you’ve been to one before you’ll know what to expect. It’s a lovely old building, in a village just a few miles from Taunton, and inside it’s had quite a re-vamp, resulting in a blend of contemporary and olde-worlde charm; plush velvety seating, exposed brickwork, rustic beams, a big fireplace that creates a wonderful ambience when it's lit in the colder months, all very relaxing.
Food is good value, down-to-earth and is served daily from noon to 10.00 pm. There’s a big outside dining area that’s covered and heated, so you should be fine even if you forget your cardigan. When it’s seriously sunny sit in the beer garden and let the young ‘uns loose in the play area.
