Go Segway! Haldon Forest, nr Exeter, Devon
Head to the Haldon Forest, just 15 minutes from Exeter for a terrific time on a Segway Tour; this is proving to be very popular with hen parties, and equally so with corporate groups and families. The beginners tour follows a 3 mile trail around the forest, taking in the Bird of Prey Viewpoint, whilst the Segway Safari, for the over 18's, is a little more adventurous and takes you on a more challenging trail with a few uphills; you’ll need to keep focused, looking out for possible obstacles like tree stumps – and squirrels! There’s also a 15 minute Segway Taster which gives you a little introduction and shows you what a whizz you can have on these things.
To take either of the tours you must be between 4ft 5” and 6ft 7” tall and weigh between 5 stone 10 and 23 stone. For the taster the lower weight limit is 5 stone 4. All sessions are for aged 10 years +. Tours start 10.30am to 4.30pm, every half an hour and it’s advisable to book ahead.
