Rusper Golf Club, Newdigate, Dorking, Surrey
Family run Rusper Golf Club is considered the new kid on the block when you’re talking about golf clubs in Surrey; most of them go back decades but this 18 hole 6724 yard course was 'only' opened in 1992 - by Tony Jacklin. (Jacklin, as some of you will know, is a two time major winner and the most successful Ryder Cup Captain to date). The well maintained fairways are set among mature trees with water features and the usual kind of challenges; it’s a picturesque course so you might just want to make your game last as long as you possibly can.
Rusper Golf Club has a driving range, chipping area and putting green for practice, and for refreshments, a very friendly clubhouse where visitors are welcome and tasty home cooked food is served.
