Nine Springs Country Park, Yeovil, Somerset
A former ornamental park on the of town, of over 127 acres with rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and open grassland, where you have far reaching views over the town to the Dorset hills. Walk or cycle on the designated paths; if you're lucky you'll spot some of the diverse wildlife - water voles, otters, kingfishers, bats and green woodpeckers have made their home here. There's an orienteering course, a nature trail and a play area, and dogs are welcome though certain areas are restricted to protect the wildlife.
