It’s honest pub grub on the menu at the Nags Head near Lydney, and plenty of it too, so go and fill your bellies. This place is a proper job traditional village pub where the locals still go and have a good time; no frills, no fuss, it is what it is.
There’s a big beer garden to sit in when the weather’s good, there are ponies out the back for the kids to see, and the views over the Gloucestershire countryside are lovely. When it’s cold, stay inside by the fire. Family friendly, dog friendly.
