Lockwell Activity Centre, Newark, Nottinghamshire

If you’re in the mood for a bit of fun-fuelled adventure when you’re staying in Nottinghamshire on your large group holidays, you should go to Lockwell Activity Centre near Newark. This family run business has some great activities for you, from quad biking, off roading in 4x4s or on electric scooters to archery, rifle shooting and crossbows. There's an assault course and It’s a Knockout, and a fantastic 720m go-karting track with challenges of hairpins, fast straights and twists.

There are group packages available so if you’re looking for something exciting for a hen or stag party, or for corporate team building, book up. The thing is, it’s such fun, outside in the fresh air, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, learning a new skill, having a barrel load of fun – what a way to spend a few hours! And it’s great for family groups as several activities are suitable for age 6+.

If you plan your day well you could tie this in with a pub lunch, although you might well be a little muddy! There’s a café onsite in any case, serving cobs, sandwiches, toasties and chips.
