Joe Draper is a professional chef who likes to put his creative culinary skills to work using ingredients that are sourced locally, seasonal and sustainable; if it's organic and ethically raised all the better, and he's certainly not averse to using wild food. He'll work with you to come up with something entirely bespoke, something that's exactly how you want it - and it's guaranteed to get your tastebuds dancing with delight.

Joe spent his formative years in Devon and began his cooking career when he was just 15, working at the Coppa Dolla Inn at Broadhempston. He then went on to run the kitchen at the Church House Inn, Holne for a couple of years before packing his bags and heading off to London where he spent time working for the likes of Marco Pierre White and John Christophe Novelli. But that's not it, oh no, Joe has heaps of top notch experience - 5 years with One Aldwych Hotel on The Strand as Senior Sous Chef, a stint with the Ferrari F1 team catering for the drivers and VIPs all over Europe, and cooking for the rich and famous at the Tramp club in Piccadilly. He also worked for Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, opening the flagship restaurant River Cottage Plymouth, which quickly became the most sustainable restaurant in the country. As Joe was Senior head Chef for River Cottage he was involved with the opening of two more new restaurants, helping with the development, design, procurement and training. Stacks of experience, this is a guy who knows what he's doing.

Food is Joe's passion; for him it's all about supporting local communities, so that emphasis on local and sustainable produce is huge. He loves foraging and working with the seasons and that's evident in the dishes he creates - his food is an exqusite blend of rusticity, it's clean and simple and tantalisingly tasty.
