JK’s Bistro, Honiton, Devon
This friendly bistro is just off the main street in Honiton and it’s a good one to go to if you’re popping in for lunch whilst browsing in the town, or to meet up for dinner.
The menu is diverse; alongside British favourites you’ll find strong European influences and now and then, a little Mediterranean twist. Lunchtime it’s hand cut sandwiches, baked potatoes, paninis and sharing tapas, or mains like seafood risotto, ribeye steak, and Devon ham with egg and chips. In the evening it gets more fancy with slow roasted belly pork, oven baked seabass and prosciutto wrapped chicken breast amongst other delights.
They get good reviews, probably because the food is tasty and the service is attentive; it’s not a huge place so if there’s a big group of you going make sure you book well in advance.
